How to create a Dropbox share link
For a single file
- Right-click the file in Dropbox (web or desktop app)
- Click Share → Copy link
- In link settings, set to "Anyone with the link"
The resulting URL ends in ?dl=0 (preview) or ?dl=1 (direct download). For direct download, change dl=0 to dl=1 — buyers will get a direct download prompt rather than a Dropbox preview page.
For a folder
- Right-click the folder in Dropbox
- Click Share → Copy link
- Set to "Anyone with the link can view"
Buyers see the folder contents and can download individual files or the whole folder as a zip.

Will buyers be able to share my Dropbox link with others?
Any download link can be shared. For high-value files, Dropbox Business accounts can set link expiration dates or restrict downloads to specific email addresses. For most independent sellers, pricing files appropriately and accepting occasional sharing is standard practice.
Does unseal.link store my files?
No. unseal.link only stores the URL you provide. Your files remain in Dropbox. unseal.link delivers the URL to the buyer by email after they pay — it has no access to your Dropbox account.
What if I update the file after selling?
If you update the file in Dropbox with the same filename and the share link stays the same, buyers who access the link get the updated file. If you create a new file with a new link, existing buyers who already received the old link will still get the old version.
